Discovered New Widget for Social Media

I just discovered the coolest widget for badges for all my social media networking sites.

Go to Widgetbox to get your own. Best of all, it's FREE!

It's as simple as entering your ID names and then widgetbox makes the code and you copy and paste it on your website.

Look to the right at my box labeled, "Let's Connect" to see what it looks like. I did this in less than 15 minutes.

**Note: If you are using wordpress.com, it will not allow these scripts. So, you'll need to host your own blog or use Blogger.

Why Network Marketing and MLM Make Me Want to BARF!

Last week, I posted my business card on a bulletin board at a gas station. My primary company has some products that have been getting a lot of attention in the press lately, so I thought I'd take advantage of the press and maybe pick up a few customers.

So, I get a phone message the next day, "I got your card at a gas station and I am interested in your company, please call me back."

OK, now this is on my dime. Remember that part!

I call back and he tells me he is in a network marketing company (that's a competitor no less) and wanted to know if I'd be interested in looking at his opportunity.

GAG ME! Why would I even be attracted to a company or team that tries to steal someone from another company? I felt angry. He was wasting my time, but more importantly he was giving the network marketing industry a really bad name. This is why we get resistance from prospects because they have encountered one of these amateurs.

With all the people in the world looking for a home based business opportunity, I think we can do better than this. Let's raise the standard.

Get professional training for FREE at the Renegade University.

This is where you can learn to attract prospects without chasing them down, calling leads all day, pestering your friends and family, and hurting the entire home based business industry.

Three Inner Secrets of Internet Success

===================================

Three Inner Secrets of Internet Success

By Yanik Silver
http://www.SureFireMarketing.com

===================================

In only a few short months I've achieved the ultimate
Internet "fantasy" of making a lot of money from a simple
(almost primitive) web site that runs itself virtually on
complete autopilot. Starting from scratch I banked over
$51,351.94 my first 6 1/2 months online, just working part-
time out of the corner of my living room.

Now today at age 31, I've gone on to earn over 7-figures.

How did I go from a standing start to banking mega
profits?

To do that, what I think you really need are these inner
secrets to mega internet success. This has nothing to do
with search engines, pay-per-clicks. It doesn't have
anything to do with any of the tactical stuff. It's all a
lot of stuff that goes on in your head.

* Secret #1: Cheerful Expectancy *

One of my biggest mentors is Earl Nightingale. He passed
away several years ago but you need to get everything he
recorded at Nightingale.com. He has a program called "Lead
The Field" and "The Strangest Secret." Just listen to
that thing over and over again. He talks about cheerful
expectancy.

There's a big difference between having expectancy versus
hoping or wishing something is going to occur. When you
have that cheerful expectancy, you know it's going to
occur. And that doesn't just come from being
"Pollyannaish" or having rose-colored glasses.

It comes from having knowledge. And you get that
knowledge from studying in your field whatever it is. It
could be Internet marketing or it could be neurology. That
means reading, studying and buying everything and
absolutely immersing yourself in it.

I learned from Earl Nightingale that if you want to be an
expert, you spend an hour a day reading on whatever
subject that you're interested in, that you want to be an
expert on. So I said, "Well, what would happen if I read
for three hours a day?"

I just started learning as much as I possibly could, and
that knowledge gives you the confidence to know that you
have that positive expectancy. Your expectations determine
your results.

* Secret #2: Do one proactive thing a day *

You don't need to do 100 things a day. Just get that one
proactive thing a day. So each little brick builds a big
wall for you. Trust me it's easy to be overwhelmed with
hundreds of tasks. You're like, "Oh, we need to do e-zine
ads and free-for-alls and pay-per-click search engines,
and I need to do all this other stuff." Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

But just relax and do one task a day.

Your action will create more and more and more action for
you. You simply need to make a commitment to do one
proactive thing a day no matter what. Even if you're dead
tired and worked a 14-hour day - come home and mail one
letter or send out one joint venture proposal. I'm telling
you - just these little tiny proactive things will have an
immense impact.

Most everyone has heard of the '80/20 rule' or the Pareto
Principle. It says that 20% of your actions produce 80% of
your results, and the other way around. 80% of your work
only creates 20% of your results.

So go back and look where your successes came from, and I
know that they're from a tiny little group of actions. So
if you just get that one proactive thing a day (from the
20% group) that is going to propel you further, that's
going to bring you to where you want to be.

Make it a point to focus on those "20% activities". In
Stephen Covey's famous work "7 Habits of Highly Effective
People" he calls these activities "important but not
urgent".

One of my Apprentices, Peter Woodhead, from the UK is a
perfect example of simply doing one proactive thing a day.
A lot of Apprentices bolted out of the gate during our one
year program but Peter was an Internet newbie and he also
had a full time job so he was a bit slower getting
started. However, he took my advice and simply managed to
do one proactive thing every single day. No matter how big
or how small. It could be writing one autoresponder
message or it might have been writing 50 headlines. No
matter the day - Peter was moving ahead. And not
surprisingly his project was completed before many of the
other Apprentices were finished.

* Secret #3: Decision *

This is such a big point. A lot of people have so many
problems with decision. That's because they don't like it
because it cuts off other options. But frankly that's
exactly what you want. You want to cut off other options.

One of our top apprentices, Cindy Kappler, WebAdMagic.com,
had no other option but to succeed because she quit her
job. Now I'm not encouraging you to do that if you still
have a real job but it does prove if you cut off your
options, you're much more motivated. Successful people
make decisions quickly.

There's a magic of attraction when you make your decision.
However, when you're hemming and hawing, you don't
experience this magic. I don't want to get into too much
woo-woo or metaphysical or spiritual stuff.

But there's this magic of attraction. I can't even
explain it. When you set your mind up that you're going
to do this, all of a sudden, at the next dinner party
you're attending you meet somebody that can help you get
to where you want to go. Is that luck or is that
something else?

I don't think it's luck.

It's like once the decision is made your mind is tuned
into the solution and all kinds of 'freaky' coincidences
and occurrences happen.

And that brings me to another important point about
decisions - fail quickly. Don't be afraid of failure. A
lot of people are so afraid of screwing up, or making a
mistake that they are forever frozen. Who the hell cares?
Screw up quickly! I screw up all the time. And you want
to fail quickly.

That's the great part about the Internet. You want to go
out there and find out if your dumb idea is going to work
right away. You can do it in days instead of months.
Sometimes hours and if it doesn't work, you move on. You
say, "Next!"

Look, I know a lot of people who are working on their
products for the last two, three, four years. Get the
damned thing out! You just make it better as you go
along.

InstantSalesLetters.com, our first product was not where it
is now. We've added a ton of stuff to it and made it
better. But I just wanted to see if the thing was going
to sell.

It wasn't complete and utter rubbish, as my British
friends say, but it was enough that it made the point. It
found out if there was a marketplace for it. So find out.

Some people like to go around at dinner parties and so on
and say, "I'm writing a book. I've been writing a book
for five years. I'm an author."

Uh huh...

I can show you 6 different ways to have your book done in
days. It's a cop-out and complete B.S. Bottom line - make
the decision to get the product out there. See what
happens and fail quickly.

Now get out there and do it!

A New Breed Of Autoresponder, Auto Message Setup

A New Breed Of Autoresponder, Auto Message Setup

Posted by Tom Kulzer (AWeber CEO)

The concept of the follow up autoresponder revolutionized Internet Marketing. Now, “Auto Message Setup” promises to bring the field an even greater degree of efficiency.

This recent innovation lets experienced marketers painlessly transfer marketing know-how to their entire downlines. A marketer can now provide each of his downline representatives with a follow up autoresponse system that is already packaged with the marketer’s pre-written messages.

The result? Just a few minutes of work on the part of an experienced marketer, and each of his reps is set up with the same tried and true marketing messages.

Case Study: Marketer Matt and the New Breed

For example, take a look at the case of a fictional network marketer named Matt M:

For years, Matt has been successfully marketing All Natural Pharmaceuticals using a follow up autoresponder. In fact, much of his success can be attributed to the set of seven messages e-mailed to all of his potential customers. Matt has carefully crafted those messages over the years, and they’re really great.

Recently, Matt has been trying to pass what he’s learned along to his downline representatives. He explains his marketing principles over the phone, and he knows that several of his reps pass his follow up messages around amongst themselves.

However, Matt finds that his pearls of wisdom rarely survive this ‘telling and retelling’ intact. He knows his reps aren’t getting anywhere near what they could out of his knowledge. He wishes there were a way to harness today’s technology, and put it to use for the greater good of his downline…

Enter Auto Message Setup

Using an Auto Message Setup system, Matt’s downline reps can order their own follow up autoresponse accounts that are already packaged with Matt’s pre-written messages. They can reap the fruits of Matt’s experience with ease.

Each rep will customize Matt’s messages for himself by logging in to his new follow up autoresponder account, and entering his own contact information.

Here is Matt’s original autoresponse message:

    Hi LEAD NAME,

Thanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!

    Best Regards, Matt M.
    matt@all-natural-pharma.com 918 Awl St.

    Natural, PA 22314

Notice that the message greeting uses a variable, (LEAD NAME). The variable ensures that each of Matt’s leads will receive a message personalized with his or her own name. Notice, also, that Matt’s name and address are at the end of the message.

Case Study: Downline Dan and the New Breed

Dan is one of Matt’s downline representatives. He’s ordered his own follow up autoresponder through Matt. Since Matt is using Auto Message Setup, Dan’s account came pre-packaged with Matt’s marketing messages. Dan personalized those messages to himself by answering a few questions in his Online Control Panel. Now Dan is sending his own personalized version of Matt’s messages to his customers! All of the basic content is Matt’s, but Dan’s contact information is on the letters. Here is the autoresponse that Dan sends to his potential customers:

    Hi, LEAD NAME

Thanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!

    Best Regards, Dan D.
    dan@pharma-ceuticals.com 5 Farm Way
    Sootuh, TN 88457

Notice that the contact name and address at the end of the e-mail are Dan’s, but that the greeting at the beginning of the message still includes the name of Dan’s lead.

Mission Accomplished

With Matt’s experience in hand, Dan is now marketing more successfully than ever before. And he isn’t the only one - Matt’s entire downline is now using his marketing messages! Matt’s commissions are growing exponentially.

Matt and Dan’s situation is not unique. Any network marketer with an established downline can take advantage of the opportunities available in an auto message setup system. There’s no better way to put more auto in your autoresponder.

Brand High Quality Viral Reports Free

When I saw "Free High Quality Reports", my first thought

was "Yeah, sure. Free AND High Quality!"

But I joined. Why not - it's free.

I joined with healthy skepticism. I am usually pretty critical

of the free content you find out there.

However, I soon found my skepticism melting away. In fact,

I was quite pleasantly surprised by what I found.

http://www.butterflyreports.com

First, I have to say that this site is pretty ingenious when you

think about it. Branded, high quality reports you get to give

away - and make money from.

When I actually checkout out a few of the reports, I found

that they were much more than just "thrown together trash".

In fact, quite the opposite.

Along with the reports supplied by the staff writers of the

site, members can also contribute their own reports. As a

free member, you can contribute one of your original

reports every month.

After a while, once you have contributed a few reports, you

will see how viral this concept really is.

I've seen an increase in my traffic, as well as seen my own

credibility as an expert shoot through the roof.

My advice to you is simple. Join. Now. Why wouldn't you?

What is Twitter?

I've recently opened my new "Twitter" account. There is a lot of buzz about Twitter and how it is being used as part of a social networking strategy.

So what is it? It's another social group you can join to build relationships, create joint ventures, and attract prospects to your business.

It's like a blog, but limited to about 2 sentences.

So for example, if you update your blog, you can post it on Twitter. "Just posted a new article about (insert blog title.)" Then your followers can click on the link and see your new post.

Today, I learned that when you set up your Twitter account, you can create a link from Twitter to your blog that will allow your blog followers to become Twitter followers. Try it out. Click on the link on the right.

It's all about leveraging your time.

Here's a short video to explain Twitter in Plain English.

Today, set up your Twitter account at http://www.twitter.com

Be sure to visit my account and click on "follow me."

Face Book for Business and Building Relationships

Just wanted to get a quick post out before I ran out the door to my JOB. Anyway, I just opened my Facebook account a few days ago. I was very reluctant to do so because I figured it was just for high school and college kids. Having graduated 25 years ago, who would I even know on Facebook?

But, I've been reading some blogs on the subject and have learned that Facebook is a great tool for business. It's the social side of business....building relationships. It's not about marketing your products or services blatantly on Face Book.

Here's an article I read called, "Why Your Company Needs to Be on Facebook." It showed me the value of what I'm doing. I hope you'll read it and make a comment.

Then by all means, open up a Facebook account.

Face Book for Self Promotion

Wow! I didn't expect Face Book to be so much fun! In less than 24 hours, I've developed a face book page and have a dozen friends.

I read an interesting article at Alan Cockerill's blog where he writes about adding friends. Here's a link to the article.

I saw these great looking Profile Badges and I just had to learn how to make one. Isn't it great?

Anyway, click on it and it will take you to my Facebook profile. Sign in and add me as a friend. I'd love to meet you.

Once you have a facebook account, go to the tab to Create a profile badge. Follow the directions and whoola! You have this!

How to Use Stumble Upon to Drive Traffic to Your Site

There are many social bookmarking sites you can join to help drive traffic to your blogs, squidoo, and websites.

Today, I'm introducing: Stumble Upon.

You'll want to set up an account at www.stumbleupon.com.
It's real easy to do.

Set up your profile and pick out the types of websites you want to review. I chose business and environment.

Here's how it works. You can press the Stumble button and randomly selected websites will show up for you to review. Give them a thumbs up or down. Then write a review. Your picture and link will be posted next to your review. You'll want to contribute to the community to become known and trusted.

Next, you'll want to review your own sites and write a description and review. But don't just review your sites. Be sure to add other sites by other authors with relevant content or you may be blacklisted as trying to only promote yourself.

When you stumble a site, click on the speech bubble to see what others are saying about the website. This is great way to meet others in the community.

So give it a try.

Open an account.

Go to my squidoo at www.squidoo.com/blondeaffiliates and notice on the right side the box that says "Save and Share." There is a place to Stumble It! Try it. Stumble my site and see what happens. Become a fan! Leave me a post that you did and I'll do the same for you!

Blogging and Social Networking

Today, I've been working on my blog. It's one of the cornerstones of social marketing.

Social Marketing includes:

  • Blogs
  • Squidoo
  • Bookmarking Sites
  • Article Writing
At the Renegade University, I just watched a video tutorial on setting up a blog. I started my first blog here at www.blogger.com. The tutorial taught me how to carefully choose a title and description to optimize the blog for the search engines. It also gave me click by click instructions. It is so easy to follow along and make your blog at the same time.

Why name this blog Internet Marketing for Blondes?

When I was thinking about my targeted audience for my blog, I was planning to reach people who were new at internet marketing. I wanted to be entertaining as well as informative. So, as a blonde who is sometimes made fun of... for not catching on to jokes quickly, I thought those of you that were new to internet marketing might be able to relate to my situation.

My husband says I laugh at a joke 3 times:

  • First when the joke is told.
  • Second when it is explained to me.
  • Third time is when I finally get the joke.
Sometimes when we start something new (like internet marketing) we might be afraid to make mistakes and that someone might laugh at us. I hope to be able to share some basic internet marketing tips you can try without feeling like a dumb blonde. If it takes 3 times, that's OK, you'll still be ahead of all the others who let fear paralyze them from any action at all. Besides, I finally do get the jokes....and you will finally figure out how to make internet marketing work for you.
